A wide range of activities awaits.
We are fortunate to have many local guides in the area to take you to some of the best fishing in B.C. - salmon, halibut, cod, trout or prawns - it is all out there waiting for you.
Or take a guided tour and learn‚ about the economic and cultural history of the area. The remains of a salmon cannery, pilchard reduction plant, general store, cabins, logging, and silviculture all speak to the rich history of the cove. Continue on and‚ enjoy wildlife sightings‚ along the way to Catala Island Provincial Marine Park, where you can‚ continue exploring by foot‚ or have a picnic‚ and siesta on the beach.
The area also offers excellent kayaking adventures. Stay within‚ the protected waters of the cove‚ and estuary or seek further adventure‚ in a trip out to nearby Harbour Island or Port Eliza. For the long distance kayaker, perhaps Queen Cove is a restful stopover‚ place on the way to Nuchatlitz Provincial Marine Park.
Cool off from a hot afternoon with a swim in the welcoming warm waters of‚ our clam‚ beach.
On land, take a hike along our roads and trails to the valley streams‚ lakes, and rainforest beyond. Discover the beautiful vistas down the Park River estuary or plan for some down time atop our highest hill with a 360 degree view over the valley. Take a private guided tour through the forest and learn about the surrounding flora and fauna and the history of the native people and how they lived.
Whatever your preference, there is an activity for everyone. |
